With a 3Shape R-700™ scanner from ESM, it is quick and easy - you create and analyse your own 3D study models either from impressions or stone models. With this proven technology, 3Shape has become the leading scanner manufacturer worldwide for use in CAD/CAM restorative dental laboratories. ESM has worked with 3Shape to bring this established technology to our colleagues in Orthodontics - just ask our happy customers. Yes you Scan™ , with ESM. contact us for more information.
Main advantages of the R-700™ 3D
Versatility - The R-700™ can scan all types of dental models.
Open or locked file formatsThe 3D files can be saved and exported in a number of standard formats, such as STL. This makes the R-700™ fully compatible with all open solutions and applications available on the market. The 3D scanned data can also be locked to prevent the virtual model from being digitally altered in compliance with Medico-Legal requirements.
High and consistent levels of accuracyContinuous validation using Mititoyo™ metrology gauge blocks
One-button scanningJust place the cast(s) or impressions in the scanner - no precise positioning is necessary. Click on one button in the scanning software: 3Shape´s unique 3-axis scanning technology ensures a complete coverage of the whole geometry of the cast or impression, including potential undercuts.
Alignment of scanned partsUsing 3Shape´s unique algorithms, the scanner aligns the upper and lower model either based on cutting planes or using an additional alignment scan with the plaster models placed in occlusion.
Automatic 3D model creation from scanned dataThe scanning software automatically creates a fully surfaced 3D model from the acquired point cloud data. This data processing can take place on a separate PC, which frees up capacity to maximise scanning volume.
